We hope you have all enjoyed your summer holidays and have taken full advantage of the fantastic weather.
Term time is approaching fast and we shall be starting another season of tennis at the club. Please note the following dates:
Our social club sessions start again on Saturday 3rd September
Mens Team Tennis starts again on Monday 5th September
Ladies Clinic is back up and running from Wednesday 7th September
Junior squads start again on Monday 12th September
Rusty Rackets starts again on Thursday 22nd September
Bar
There will be some disruption and reorganisation at the bar over the coming weeks. As a result, the kitchen and bar will be closed for a week for maintenance.
Private Event
The clubhouse and all the courts will be closed to members on Thursday 15th September from 3.30pm due to a private event for one of our main sponsors, Quilter Cheviot. This will also mean that junior squads are cancelled on this day - apologies for any inconvenience.
Committee
The AGM will be held at the end of November - date yet to be determined.
We wish to advise all our members that the following committee members will definitely be standing down:

Jo Chapin - Ladies Cap[tain
Rachel Lucas - Safeguarding officer
Guy Newman is considering his position as a general member
Jenna Fleming (Junior Liaison), Donovan Bennett (House & Grounds) and David Rasmussen (Treasurer) have not yet made a decision.
It is imperative that all our adult members (playing and social) would consider giving their time to come on to the committee. This is your club and a committee is an essential component to allow the wheels of the club to continue to turn. The club CANNOT run without volunteers willing to give up their time. Junior Squads
A reminder to parents of junior members, you would've all received an email (please check junk mail) regarding junior squads for the new term. They will begin again from the 12th September so if you haven't signed your children up yet, please can you do so before next week. Winter Membership
As we are now in September, we will be rolling out our Winter Membership which runs from Sept-March and is pro-rated to reflect the period. If you know of anyone that is interested in tennis, please let them know as it's a great time to join the club at a reduced rate.
Freebies
We all love the word "free" so there is a box of unused t-shirts and polo shirts in the foyer by the box of used balls. Help yourself and what is still there next week will be given to a charity shop.
