Positive Club News

We’ve had so many kind comments from visiting players during the BNP Paribas Easter Tournament, praising the facilities, the friendly atmosphere and how welcoming and well-run the club is. A huge thank you to those involved for helping make the week such a positive experience for everyone!

We’re also pleased to share that last year we saw fantastic growth in our club membership. While 76 members left, mostly due to relocation or injury, we welcomed 121 new members to the club. It’s great to see our community expanding, and we look forward to continuing this positive momentum throughout the year!

BNP Paribas Easter Tournament

We’re coming to the end of our tournament and the level of tennis has been incredible! Thank you to everyone who’s come down to support so far—there’s still plenty of action to come through to Friday. Bella’s Café will be open (last day Friday), serving great food and drinks - the perfect spot to relax between matches!

We will also be wrapping up an amazing week of tennis with a prize-giving ceremony from 2pm for our winners and runners-up on Friday, so if you’re around, pop by and cheer on / celebrate your fellow players!

Upcoming matches and scores can be found online: LTA Matches and Scores

Club Sessions

Club sessions and junior squads will start running again from next Monday 21st April, including club nights/afternoon, ladies clinic and junior club night. All club sessions can be viewed on our events page along with sign up links.

    •    Game, Set, Match – a weekly match-focused training session for advanced players interested in competing in singles and/or doubles and who may be willing to travel for away games.

Full details are included in the attachments below. If you’re interested, please drop Fabienne a message,

Club Championships 2025

We’re excited to announce that the Club Championships are back for 2025, running from 23rd May to 1st June! This annual event is all about celebrating our fantastic tennis community, encouraging friendly competition, and, of course, crowning our Club Champions across all categories.

From mini-red players to veterans, everyone is welcome to take part—and with entry just £5 per category, it’s a great chance to get involved, challenge yourself, and have fun on court.

To help the tournament run smoothly, all entrants must be available to play on the scheduled dates. Once entered, players are expected to make themselves available for matches, which will be scheduled in advance.

Please note: this is a members-only event. Be sure to renew your membership before entering.

The deadline for sign-ups is Monday 12th May. For more information and to sign up please click here: Club Championships

Club Water Fountain

We’re pleased to let members know that a brand new water fountain with filtered water has been installed at the club. You’ll find it just outside, next to the disabled toilets on the right-hand side of the clubhouse.

We hope this encourages everyone to refill reusable bottles and helps us cut down on single-use plastics around the club. Don’t forget to bring your bottle next time you play!
