Coaching
The Club is proud to provide an excellent coaching team of highly experienced individuals who offer a range of tuition opportunities to members. Our expert coaches provide tuition for all ages and levels, from beginners to national level which can be delivered on a one-to-one basis or in groups. Lessons are available throughout the day. Please note that coaching is only available to club members, if you would like lessons you can get in touch with the coaches directly to check their availability.

Adam Bayley​
Adam has been coaching for 20 years, initially in South Africa, then Philadelphia and then Grand Cayman. He holds a PTR Level 5 Master of Performance qualification and loves working with players of all ages and abilities. Adam very much enjoys helping players to improve through both individual coaching and group sessions such as ‘Ladies Clinic’. He is very involved in the club's school’s programme and feels passionate about the development of youth tennis.

Karen Barnes​​​
Karen moved to Jersey in October 2008. She has been teaching tennis since she was 16 and is a Levl 4 Senior Performance Coach. As a female coach, Karen has a particular interest in promoting the participation of girls and ladies in tennis. She enjoys organizing Senior club night social tennis and the Junior holiday camps. Karen also has a specific interest in the development of mini tennis players from red through to green and into the early years of the yellow ball. Karen has represented Lancashire County in Junior & Senior teams and Channel Islands in Senior & Over 35's.

As a professional tennis player, Santa has competed on the International tour and played for leagues in France, Germany, and England, winning the Middlesex league in the Premier division in 2015 with Campden Hill Law Tennis Club . As a coach, she is fully certified by various international federations, including the LTA Senior Club Coach Level 4, ITF Level 3 Coach, RPT International Registry of Tennis Professionals Qualification (Head Professional - Tennis Director), ESTESS Athletic University Level 5/Tennis, USPTA Certified Professional, PTCA Professional Tennis Coaches Association, Spanish Association of Tennis Teaching Professionals, and holds DBS - Safeguarding - First Aid. With over 15 years of coaching experience, Santa has worked with remarkable individuals and families worldwide, serving as a full-time coach at Holland Park Lawn Tennis Club from 2012 until relocating back to Jersey in 2023. Her coaching philosophy emphasises creating a fun yet structured tennis environment, providing clear guidance to help players of all ages and levels fully embrace their passion while enhancing their game across all tennis fundamentals.

Andrew began his passion for Tennis at the age of 17, while growing up in Derbyshire. He represented Derbyshire at Senior County level in Group 1 County week. He travelled and competed in France and Germany and spent 10 years coaching in Germany Essen. After Germany he was Head Coach at the Jumirah Beach Club & Spa in Dubai for 3.5 years. He has VDT and German B tennis coaching license and is a Level 4 Senior Performance Coach. Andrew has represented GB in the worlds team championships Mens over 35 and 45s.
