4 Court Winter Bubble

We’re pleased to let you know that the 4-court winter bubble has been successfully taken down by Aldonio and his team - huge thanks to them for their hard work! The courts are now open and ready for use.

Important Club Update – Email System Down

Unfortunately, we’ve been experiencing issues with our club email system since Friday and are unable to send or receive emails at the moment. This is being looked into and we hope to have it resolved as soon as possible. We understand this may be frustrating and appreciate your patience while the issue is being resolved. In the meantime, members can contact us using the contact form on the website or by phone - 01534 789321. Thank you for your understanding.

Membership Renewals

We are now into May and wish to remind members who have not yet paid membership subscriptions of the following:

• Any use of the Club requires a membership including, but not limited to, Club Championships, Ladies Clinic, Pickleball, Socials on Wednesday evening/Saturday afternoon and Friday afternoon Junior Club.

• Any coaching requires membership, whether that is 1-1 private coaching or junior squads.

• The early bird discount period has ended, and all renewals are now charged at the full rate.

Kindly ensure that your renewal payment is made before the 31st May. Memberships that remain unpaid after this date will result in the deactivation of MyCourts access and membership cards. Please renew promptly to avoid any disruption to your court booking privileges.

30yrs & under - £325

Youth 22yrs & under - £149

Junior 10yrs and under - £99

Parental to play only with your child/children - £160

Non-Playing (Social) - £60

Courtside Cafe

We are very excited to inform members that the bar is now officially open under the name 'Courtside Café'. The operation will be managed by Waldemar who is a hospitality professional and has plenty of ideas for the bar, including a new variety of food (menu below) and loyalty cards. The club is very confident that Waldemar will do a fantastic job and we hope members will support him.

Courtside Café will be open on the following days and times but they hope to expand their operating hours as the demand increases.

Mon and Wed - 9am-2pm

Tues and Thurs - Closed

Fri - 9am-2pm, 4pm-9pm (Junior club night attendees and parents are very welcome!)

Sat - 9am-2pm, 6pm-9pm

Sun - 10am-6pm

The club encourages members to support this new and exciting venture so that we can once again enjoy a happy and social bar area. Please also consider hosting your special occasions, birthdays or events at Courtside Café. Bookings can be made at: Courtsidecafe@proton.me

Membership Cards

We would like to remind members that they can still receive a 10% discount at Courtside Café when using their membership card. Like before, you will need to top-up your card with credit by logging into your account on TouchTopUp - account login. Without your card, the bar staff cannot apply the 10% discount.

There is still a box of uncollected cards in the office so if you do not have your card, it may be in the office. These can be collected between Mon-Wed 9.30-4.30pm or Thurs-Fri 10.30-2.30pm.

Club Car Park

We’ve recently noticed a number of vehicles being left in the car park for extended periods during the day without use of the club facilities. Please be kindly reminded that the car park is strictly for members actively using the club. It should not be used for all-day parking or as a general convenience space.

Anyone found to be misusing the car park may receive a warning notice and, if necessary, be reported to the Parish. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping the car park available for all members.

Club Championships Begin This Week!

We’re excited to kick off the 2025 Club Championships this week!

The draws for each event can now be found online: Club Championships. For events with only one match, as well as the full order of play, details will be sent out shortly.

Beginners Sessions

Our beginners' sessions are aimed at those people who are very new to tennis and would like to learn more about how the game is played, including all the fundamentals and scoring system. These sessions are free and open to both members and non-members. However, non-members can only attend up to 3 sessions before being required to join the club to continue.

Sessions will be held by Coach Scott, every Monday (during term) from 7-8pm and equipment will be provided. If you would like to sign up, please email scott.weaver@hotmail.co.uk

BNP Paribas Guernsey Open

The Guernsey Tennis Club will be hosting an LTA Grade 4 Open Tournament from 21st to 26th July. This friendly event is open to players of all ages and abilities, with singles and doubles competitions available. All entrants are guaranteed plenty of match play—come along and get involved! Entry fee: £18 singles, £12 doubles.
