Clubhouse Bar
We are pleased to report that we have reached an agreement with RD Catering Limited who will take on responsibility for operating our bar and catering facility as a 3rd party operator.
The operator’s principal, David Haynes, is a hospitality professional who has extensive experience of running hospitality businesses. He is currently specialising in events management which he expects to continue whilst growing the client base at The Caesarean. This ‘business within a business’ strategy offers the best potential for success for both parties.
Heads of terms were signed by all parties yesterday, 2nd January, and we expect the bar and kitchen to commence operations by the 1st March 2024. David hopes to be able to cater for members with a soft opening period potentially from mid-February. We will keep members updated as we progress.

Pickleball Training
Due to the success of the Pickleball event held in December and the seeming enthusiasm to play the new up-and-coming sport, Ian Morgan and Andrew Evans are starting Pickleball training sessions. These sessions will be a mixture of playing, skills and learning the game in a fun environment.
Spaces are limited for the five-week course so it will be the first sixteen sign-ups to be guaranteed a spot.
Running Tuesday evenings from 6.30pm to 7.30pm, from January 9th-6th February for £45 for the five-week course. Sign up here: Pickleball Training
Junior Squads
A reminder to parents of junior members, you should've all received an email regarding junior squads for the new term. They will begin again from the 8th of January so if you haven't signed your children up yet, please can you do so before the end of this week. For any issues email club-communications@ctc.club
Chris O'Connor
Our deepest condolences go out to the family and friends of long-standing member, Chris O'Connor, who sadly passed away between Christmas and the New Year. Chris was loved by many at the club and was responsible for the organisation of many years of social tennis and will be remembered for his gentle demeanour. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this distressing time.
Friends wishing to attend the funeral service for Chris are invited to meet at the Crematorium Chapel on Friday, 19 January at 10 am. The wake will be held immediately after at the Ommaroo Hotel to remember our wonderful friend who will be greatly missed.
