Bar Update

We have been advised this week that Tony will be leaving us at the Caesarean at the end of next week to pursue other opportunities. Please wish him well when you next visit the clubhouse.

We will provide a further update next week on the new bar arrangements.

Tree Work and Landscaping

The tree surgeon, Jonathan Le Maistre will be commencing work on Monday 17th April to remove the invasive leylandii from around the bubble to improve the appearance of the club and reduce the risk of falling trees and branches. Maintenance on our lovely oaks and London plane tree will be carried out at the same time to improve their health and remove deadwood.

Note there will be road closures in place from time-to-time and the tree surgeons will be working around the club. Barriers will be in place for your safety.

Following removal of the leylandii, we are looking to introduce a new security fence to protect the club – quotes are currently being sought for this. Later in the year, hedges will be planted to improve the appearance of the club.

Bungalow

New tenants have been found for the bungalow and will be moving in shortly.

Quilter Cheviot Mens’ Tennis

The much-anticipated Monday night Mens’ Tennis will commence on June 5th. Details to follow…

Court 1 Fence

Unfortunately, the tennis fence at the back of court 1 has been damaged by the high winds this week. Please take care when walking past. Weather permitting we will be having this fixed next week so there may be some changes to the court bookings.

Handyman Wanted

If any members can recommend a handyman/woman to undertake some minor repair work around the clubhouse, please let the office know.
