Membership Renewals
We are now into May and wish to remind all our members if you have not paid your membership subscription then to note the following:
£35 late payment fee will now be payable, the one month grace period is complete.
Any use of the Club requires a membership including, but not limited to, Ladies and Mens Team Tennis, Socials on Wednesday evening, Saturday afternoon and Friday afternoon Junior Club, and the Wednesday morning Ladies Clinic.
Any and all coaching requires membership, whether that is 1-1 private coaching or junior squads
In addition to the above it has been noted that some members have rejoined but have unfortunately not included the appropriate sinking fund levy. Invoices will be issued in due course for unpaid amounts but it would save on administration if those who have not paid the sinking fund levy would remit their £15 or £25 without being chased for it. As a reminder, the sinking fund levy is £15 per junior (11-25 years) and £25 per playing adult and veteran (26 years and over).
All the subscriptions, the sinking fund levy and the £35 late fee were proposed at the AGM in December and they had all been approved without question.
It may also be the appropriate time to mention how disappointing the uptake has been to pay subscriptions by using the new website. This has caused a huge amount of additional administration for our office staff. The reconciliation of cash, cheques, PayPal, and BACS payments plus those who have very kindly paid online, for 800 members is a time-consuming task when an automated system is now in place. Yes, we have had some teething problems which were to be expected with any new system, but they will all have been resolved and ironed out by the next membership year.
