Hard Court Winter Bubble
The installation of the 4 court winter bubble continues, albeit hampered by inclement weather yet again. Unfortunately, this has slowed down progress meaning that we have had no alternative but to close the hard courts on Thursday as well. The weather forecast is good from today onwards and we hope play will be possible in the bubble from Friday 1st November. We will update members again if there are any changes to this schedule.
Reduced Court Fees
Starting this Friday (1st Nov), court fees will be half-price in the bubbles and floodlights from 12-3pm weekdays, from 6pm Friday and from 4pm Sat/Sun to hopefully encourage members to get on the court and play. So why not take advantage of quieter times, save on fees, and enjoy more tennis!
Friday Night Social
The club has introduced an additional mixed social session in the week which will take place on Friday evenings from 6pm-8pm. This social is aimed to provide a club session for those members of an intermediate/advanced level. Numbers are limited each week for this session. For further information please message Kirk Williamson or Johnnie Menmuir (contact details can be found in MyCourts).
This session is in addition to the beginner tennis session which runs on Mondays from 7pm-8pm (please contact Scott Weaver), and the club-wide social which continues to run on Wednesdays (6.30pm-8pm) and Saturdays (2.30pm-4pm).
AGM
A reminder to please save the date for the 2024 AGM to be held on Wednesday 4th December.
Members are requested to put forward any items for inclusion on the agenda, or advance questions for the committee or membership. Please send to club-communications@ctc.club.
Scott Weaver has now been appointed as our Safeguarding Officer, leaving only the Treasurer role to be filled. We hope that within our large number of members, there will be an Accountant or similarly qualified person capable and willing to take on the role. If anyone would be interested in helping the club for just a few hours a month, that would be hugely appreciated.
