We Are Tennis Finals (WAT)
Part of the sponsorship given by BNP Paribas is for a Caesarean coach to invite all the Year 3 students in the island's Primary Schools to participate in tennis. This has always been a great success and occasionally it has given one or two youngsters the encouragement to continue after the schools' session ends.
The finals are taking place on Friday 17th June and it is anticipated that about 100 players will take part.
This takes a lot of organising and all our coaches get involved. We also wish for parents to volunteer their help and any member who may wish also to get involved to get in touch with Adam Bayley on adam@jerseytenniscoach.com.
Tea and coffee will be served and should anyone wish to donate a cake to kindly bring it to the club on Thursday evening or Friday morning. The bar will also be open for snack lunches or other refreshments.
The finals start at 8.30am until about 2.30pm
Entro Winter tennis League
This external tennis league has, apart from the past year, been running for 35 years....yes 35 years! Always organised by a few volunteers and is open to all tennis players in the island. Last year no-one volunteered to organise this event so sadly it never happened. However, Michelle Fielding, Bev le Marquand and Jane Salt have agreed to reinstate this tennis event which runs throughout the winter months.
They have managed to obtain some sponsorship funding with Ingram Advocates and also JLTA.
Please see the attached entry form. Remember this is not a Caesarean Tennis League and is open to anyone who plays tennis - you do not need to be a member of a club.
BNP Paribas Summer Tournament
This may seem like a very early Save the Date request but we are 8 weeks away from the Summer Tournament sponsored by BNP Paribas. This week-long open tournament starts on 14th August and is open to players of all ages, standards and abilities.
