The bubble is officially down, and we’re ready for the summer season! The team has worked incredibly quickly this morning, so a huge thank you to everyone for their hard work. The courts are now open and ready for use.

Membership Renewals

A reminder that members have until Thursday 30th April to renew their membership. Any memberships not paid by this date will be made inactive, and MyCourts accounts will be switched off.

We kindly ask that payments are made by bank transfer with your full name as the reference. No cash will be accepted but card payments can be made either in the office or over the phone.

Singles League Tennis

The first singles league of 2026 has now finished with 43/50 matches completed, and some very close/competitive tennis played across the board. Congratulations to Issy Aldridge who won league 1, Leo Salem who won league 2, Kate Horsely who won league 3, and Christine Fox who won league 4.

The next league will run from Mon May 11 - Sun Aug 2 (14 weeks), with the third league of the year then running from Sep - Dec (exact dates TBC).

Mixed Adult Singles League

Advanced Doubles Session – Quilter Cheviot Summer Competition Doubles

Starting Tuesday 5th May at 6.30pm and running through to end of September, this doubles session is open to members who are advanced or tournament level. This session will be replacing the Tuesday night Advanced Social during the summer. Therefore the last week of Advanced Social will be next Tuesday, 28th April and will recommence in October.

Format: Each week, eight courts will be allocated (4 clay, 4 hard) and players will be grouped by ability. First 32 to sign up on the WhatsApp group (same as the Adv Social). People can sign up weekly.

Price: £5pp to be paid to the Quilter Cheviot Summer Competition Doubles account on MyCourts.

The bubble is now down, giving us 8 outdoor courts ready to enjoy in the spring and summer sunshine!

Here’s a quick reminder of the adult sessions available for all levels - take a look and see what you’d like to join. Please note that a couple of sessions have increased by £1, as fees haven’t been updated for several years and will take effect from the 1st May.

Best Shot Clinic – Monday 10.30–11.30am

For intermediate+ players. £10pp via Eventbrite, organised via Whatsapp. Minimum 4 players required.

Beginners Clinic – Monday 7–8pm

Perfect for those new to tennis. Free for members and non‑members (non‑members can attend up to 3 sessions before joining). Sign up with Coach Scott.

Quilter Cheviot Competition Doubles – Tuesday 6.30–9pm

For intermediate and advanced players. £5pp via MyCourts. Organised through WhatsApp; Coach Ian will place you in the right group.

Ladies Clinic – Wednesday 9–10.30am

For intermediate players focusing on doubles tactics. £14pp via Eventbrite. Led by Coach Adam or Coach Scott.

Adult Socials – Wednesday 6.30–8pm & Saturday 2.30–4pm

Organised by Coach Ian (term time only). Fun, competitive doubles and a great way to meet new people. £5 cash to Ian. Just turn up and play - don't forget your racket and wallet!

Game, Set, Match – Saturday 4–5.30pm

For advanced singles players (doubles may be included). Invitation only- contact Fabienne Briery on 07798 788981. No charge. Minimum 4 players required.
